How to Properly Maintain & Clean Your Glasses

You just bought a new pair of prescription or non-prescription eyewear. You can't wait to show off your new glasses or sunglasses to your friends, family, or co-workers. Or, you want to show your new stylish look to impress your boss, look good for an upcoming interview, or get a few looks on the beach. But, if you DO NOT maintain and clean your glasses, all the money you spent will go to waste very soon. It doesn't take much to scratch or permanently damage your new eyewear.

Here is the best way to avoid anything happening to your glasses or sunglasses.

            - Either Wear Them On Your Face, Or Put Them In Your Case -

That's it, it's that simple! It's a very catchy and easy lingo to remember, and it's true!! Generally, nothing will  happen to your eyewear if you are wearing them or if they are stored in your case. (If you're a cyclist, or sports enthusiast then I recommend purchasing a 2nd pair for just that) You would not want to wear your dress eyewear for sports or motorcycle riding. Also, don't leave them on the bed or sofa. It will only mean they will get crushed later, and remember not to leave them out-in-the-open around pets - they have a habit of chewing on them.

Cleaning: The best way to clean your lenses is to spray both side of each lens with the proper lens cleaning solution and then dab your lenses with a non-lotion tissue to dry them. Next, use your micro-fabric cleaning cloth and gently wipe your lenses on both sides. We recommend doing this every morning, it doesn't take long and your glasses will look great and you will see better.

Sure, throughout your day you might get a small smudge mark. When you do, just take out your micro cloth and once again gently wipe them.

**We sell both of these items in our store or you can buy them on our shopping page on our website.

Things to Avoid:
   - Paper Towels
   - Your Shirt
   - Tissues with Lotion!

Our Recommendation:
    - To decrease the chance of getting smudges on your lenses, we recommend purchasing Crizal Anti-Reflective Coating. This is an additional lens add-on fee but it's worth it!! Not only will it decrease smudges and marks on your lenses, but it also enhances your vision and eliminates unwanted glare (Great for Night Time Driving).

Remember, if you want your glasses to last and stay in pristine condition, then keep them clean and treat them even better than you would with your smartphone.  After all, the high quality screen of your smartphone will look horrible if your eyewear lenses are dirty!
